10 June Sunday Departure for JFK from Cleveland Hopkins via Delta airline Flight 5160 departing at 1:00 PM and arriving at 2:54 PM JFK
10 June Sunday Departure for Rome from JFK International Airport take Air France Flight 7Y departing New York 7:25PM
11 June Monday arrive in Paris at 8:50AM and take Air France flight AF1604 departing at 11:05AM and ROME arriving in Rome (Feminine) at 1:10PM; transfer from airport by chartered bus for our Hotel Columbus; check-in; late afternoon walking tour of St. Peter’s Square and Basilica; dinner at 7:30PM; after dinner orientation walk in Rome
12 June Tuesday 9:00AM departure by chartered bus from Hotel for the Basilica of Saint Clement;
ROME explore the basilica and then on to the Colosseum area for early lunch; after lunch tour the Colosseum, followed by walk through the Roman Forum finishing at the Victor Emanuel Monument; return to Hotel for dinner at 7:30PM; after dinner walking tour of Piazza Madonna and area
13 June Wednesday 8:30AM excursion to Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel; optional ascent of the ROME dome of St. Peter’s basilica; lunch in nearby restaurant; afternoon 3PM departure for the Pantheon, the Piazza Spore Minerva, the Church of Saint Ignatius, the Piazza Montecito, location of the obelisk used in the solarium Augusta, the Piazza Colonna, the fountain of Trivia, the via del cursor, the Spanish steps, the Mausoleum of Augustus, the Aar Paces, dinner and overnight in Hotel;
14 June Thursday: 8:30AM Departure from Hotel Columbus for the Capitoline Hill and Museum; lunch ROME there; after lunch walk through the Imperial Forums returning to the Hotel for dinner and overnight; after dinner pack for departure for the south
15 June Friday 8:15AM Departure from Hotel Columbus by chartered bus; drive along west coast SPERLONGA with stops at Terracing, site of the great Temple of Jupiter Amur overlooking the sea, CAPRI and then to the villa of the emperor Tiberius at the town of Selenga; lunch along the road; continue to Marceline Harbor in Naples to board late afternoon boat for the island of Capri; arrive in Capri’s northern harbor, the marina Grande; transfer from there to the Hotel San Michele in Ana Capri; dinner and overnight in Hotel
16 June Saturday: 9 AM departure from Ana Capri for the town of Capri; ascent by foot to the remains of CAPRI Tiberius’ Villa Iovis atop Monte Tiberio; after descent walk to the Punta Tragara for its overview; free time to explore the lower town and to have lunch; late afternoon return to Ana Capri by taxi or bus; meet at town center in Ana Capri at 4:15PM sharp for ascent by chair lift to the top of Monte Solaro; dinner and overnight in hotel; after dinner pack for departure to Rome
17 June Sunday: 10AM departure from Hotel for Marina Grande; take 11AM boat to Sorrento; mid day SORRENTO arrival and transfer to the seaside resort town of Sorrento; check into the Grand Hotel Europa Palace; after check-in walking tour of the town, its famed flea market and intarsia industry (inlaid wood); dinner and overnight in Hotel; Mass in Sorrento’s Cathedral upon arrival or in evening
18 June Monday: 8:30AM depart from Hotel by chartered bus for the site of Pompeii; explore ruins;
POMPEII lunch in the restaurant inside the ruins; mid-afternoon departure from Pompeii bound for SORRENTO Sorrento; dinner and overnight in Hotel
19 June Tuesday: Full day excursion to Amalfi; return for dinner and overnight in Hotel
SORRENTO
20 June Wednesday: 9AM departure from Sorrento for Rome; return to the Hotel Columbus; balance of the day for final visit of Rome; dinner and overnight in Columbus; prepare for our extremely early departure
21 June Thursday: EXTREMELY EARLY wake-up call 4:30AM; departure from Hotel at 5:15 AM for ROME our return flight on Air France flight AF2305 departing at 7:20AM arriving in Paris at 9:30AM; transfer to Air France flight AF366 departing at 1:15PM arriving in Philadelphia at 3:35PM
